What a blank cell means

A field is null when no page fetched for that record stated it. The site prints that as “Not yet verified”. It does not guess a price, a rating, a review, a wifi speed, or opening hours.

Sources checked, on every place page, is the date those source pages were fetched: 21 Oct 2026. A source can be older than that date, for example a review from 2024. Where it is, the price or fact says so.

How fields were set

  • Wifi is “Fast” only when a source says so in words. A LaptopFriendly crowd rating of High or Medium is recorded as wifi “Yes”. The place page quotes the note, including when the wording is an operator claim rather than a measurement.
  • Wifi speed in Mbps comes only from Workmode check-ins. Workmode does not show the test date, and the source line on the place page says so. Treat those speeds as undated.
  • Sockets and noise come from LaptopFriendly crowd ratings (sockets High to plenty, Medium to some, Low to few; quiet High to quiet, Medium to moderate, Low to lively) or from a direct statement. The note quotes the source.
  • A Google Maps link is the place link a source gave, when one exists. Otherwise it is a coordinate search built from source coordinates, and the place page says so.
  • Neighborhood is copied from a source when one names the district. Otherwise it was derived from the address, and the neighborhood note says so. Combined labels are kept as written.
  • Photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licenses, with credits in the footer. A card shows a photo of the venue only when a free one exists; otherwise it shows the neighborhood and says so. This site does not copy or hotlink pictures from operator pages.

How the guides and city facts were made

The guides and the Tbilisi facts page hold 176 sourced facts and 87 prices, collected on 21 Oct 2026. We first listed the questions remote workers ask most about Georgia, from expat guides, law firm notes and news. Then we looked for answers in this order: official texts and agencies (Matsne, the Revenue Service, the Public Service Development Agency, the National Bank, Geostat), then big four and law firm summaries, then expat guides for practical tips.

  • Every fact shows its sources and the date we checked them.
  • When sources disagree, the fact is marked with a note that names both sides. This happens most with the 2026 work permit and the entry insurance details.
  • Rent figures are asking prices from listings, not signed rents.
  • Budgets add up sourced prices; the amounts of meals, rides and coffees are our assumptions.

Known gaps

  • Facebook groups such as 'Expats in Tbilisi' and 'Tbilisi Digital Nomads' are named in blogs (one claims 25,000+ and 10,000+ members), but Facebook blocked our checks, so they are not in the list.
  • Weather Spark's Tbilisi page we found showed data that did not match Tbilisi, Georgia, so we did not use it.
  • The US State Department and Australian Smartraveller pages could not be opened directly; levels come from search results.
  • Expatistan blocked automated access (Cloudflare check); not used.
  • No official Silknet/Magti speeds above 150 Mbps found for homes.
  • No sourced winter vs summer utility split for a 1-bed flat; only Numbeo year averages and one guide's gas estimate.
  • No official Bolt or Yandex Go tariff table; ride prices are blog estimates.
  • No official 2026 Batumi or Kutaisi bus fare table; Numbeo used.
  • Colliers and TBC Capital 2026 district rent reports not found; Galt & Taggart via press used.
  • InterNations blocked fetching, so no InterNations events are included.
  • nomads.com/meetups returned errors (502). No Nomad List meetups checked.
  • Meetup group event pages render empty when fetched. Events came from Meetup search pages and single event pages, so some group events may be missing.
  • ProductTank Tbilisi and GDG Tbilisi pages show no upcoming events. DevFest 14 to 15 Nov comes only from Europe Startup Guide, with no venue. Confirm before listing.
  • No event pages found for Impact Hub Tbilisi (domain did not resolve), Lokal, Terminal (redirects), Collider, Digital Jungle, Stamba or GITA Tech Park.
  • No parkrun, running club, hash run, hiking group or board game group with dated events found.
  • tkt.ge and Luma pages render without listings when fetched.
  • Tbilisi International Film Festival 2026 dates not confirmed (past editions ran early December at Amirani Cinema).
  • Tbilisi New Year and Christmas village listed as 12 Dec 2026 to 14 Jan 2027 but marked TBC, so not included.
  • Few dated events found after mid November. The aggregator long.events only showed events up to 7 Nov.
  • IE Real Estate Summit and THE PROGRM pages do not show the year. Weekday matches 2026.

These records stay on their own pages so the conflicting evidence is readable. They are not in the home page, the indexes, or the neighborhood lists.

  • Terminal Mozaika: Not among the 6 locations on terminal.center/locations (Batumi, Khorava, Abashidze, Towers, Roses Garden, University) on 2026-10-21, though Coworker.com, Madloba and nomax.app still list it. Madloba lists a separate venue "Community" (58 Barnova St) whose Facebook link is facebook.com/terminalmozaika, suggesting a rebrand or move.
  • Impact Hub Tbilisi (Fabrika): redfedoradiary (modified 2026-06-26): "Fabrika Cowork ... taking over the former Impact Hub premises". nomax.app lists Fabrika Co-Working at 8 Ninoshvili but no Impact Hub. Operator site and prices still online; thetbilisiguide (Sep 2026) still describes it as operating.
  • Vake Cowork: Madloba page title on 2026-10-21: "Temporarily Closed Coworking \"Vake Cowork\"". Operator site is still online with prices.
  • KD4US Shared Co-working: Booking site kd4us.spaces.nexudus.com on 2026-10-21: "This account has been suspended". Not on nomax.app or Coworker.com lists.
  • LOKAL Tbilisi: Operator site banner on 2026-10-21: "Lokal is currently on hiatus". expathub (Oct 2024): "Indefinitely Closed ... closed at their main location in early 2024". thetbilisiguide (Sep 2026): closed at its main location in early 2024.
  • Coffee and Culture: thetbilisiguide (checked Aug 2026): "Coffee and Culture and Maria Magdalena Cafe have closed".
  • Double B Coffee & Tea: LaptopFriendly lists a different cafe, Stories Tbilisi Coffee & Tea, at the same address (9 Galaktion Tabidze St); Double B appears in no 2026 guide.
